In this English/Spanish bilingual book, Julianita is learning about monarch butterflies in school. Her grandfather fondly remembers monarch butterfly migration season in the mountains of Michoacan, where he is from. The class watches their caterpillars grow, pupate, and Julianita even gives hers a name: Tiger. (Miller Library Staff) While she and her classmates wait for the caterpillars they are raising to be transformed into Monarch butterflies, Julianita's grandfather tells her about the annual migration of these butterflies to his hometown in Mexico.
