Exhibition album for a well-known and long-established horticultural exhibition. The first pages provide a brief history of the exhibition by Ch. Pynaert, an account of the career of the famous Louis Van Houtte, Père of La Pinte lez Gand, and his nursery firm's impact on Belgian horticulture, plus a short account of the nurseryman J. P. Hartmann [of Ghent] and a history of the Société anonyme Horticole Flandria in Bruges, Belgium. The rest of the album consists of photographic illustrations of the exhibtion itself, as well as the Dutch, English, and French sections. - note adapted from bookseller's description.
